Available Chamber Internships

Internships are open year-round. Each position offers 20–25 hours of on-site work per week and real mentorship from Chamber professionals with years of industry experience.

01 · Events & Programs
Events & Programs Internship

Work with the Programs & Events Coordinator to design, plan, and coordinate various Chamber events. Ideal for students enrolled in or graduated from a Communications, Public Relations, or related program.

Learning Objectives
Understand and communicate the structure, goals, and strategic mission of the Chandler Chamber
Assist with event planning and logistical organization including materials, setup, and teardown
Coordinate event registration and attendee check-in processes
Communicate professionally with event partners and participants
Draft letters, emails, and other documents for monthly and annual events
Qualifications
Enrolled in or graduated from a Communications, Public Relations, or related degree program
Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
02 · Marketing & Design
Marketing & Graphic Design Internship

Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to create compelling visuals and content that represent the Chandler Chamber brand. Ideal for students with a declared major in marketing, graphic design, illustration, or a related field.

Learning Objectives
Understand and communicate the structure, goals, and strategic mission of the Chandler Chamber
Co-design the Chamber's monthly electronic magazine
Design print booklets, digital event promotions, and social media graphics
Create presentations, rotating ads, and email designs for internal events
Produce graphics for the Chamber's website and member communications
Capture photos at Chamber events and improve existing asset library
Qualifications
Declared major in marketing, graphic design, illustration, or related field
0–2 years professional experience in declared major
Entry-level experience with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
03 · Policy & Government Relations
Public Policy & Government Relations Internship

Work with the Director of Government Relations to support and execute the Chamber's public policy agenda. Ideal for students with a base-level understanding of Arizona politics enrolled in Political Science or a related program.

Learning Objectives
Understand and communicate the structure, goals, and strategic mission of the Chandler Chamber
Provide research and analysis support on current policy issues
Learn the Arizona legislative process through hands-on experience
Collaborate on advocacy-focused events and write policy analysis for the monthly eMagazine
Participate in advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal level
Provide administrative support including scheduling, database maintenance, and correspondence
Assist with grassroots efforts to build regional support on key policy issues
Qualifications
Enrolled in or graduated from a Political Science or related degree program
Strong verbal, written, and analytical communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
04 · Data & Research
Data & Research Internship

Work with the VP of Government Relations & Workforce Development to compile and analyze data that shapes the Chamber's annual programming and strategic initiatives. Ideal for students in Business or a related field with strong research fundamentals.

Learning Objectives
Understand and communicate the structure, goals, and strategic mission of the Chandler Chamber
Assist with comprehensive data collection and research compilation
Conduct outreach and email communications with Chamber members
Learn market research and data collection techniques applied to chamber operations
Communicate with members regarding current business demographics and statistics
Organize and enter data into Excel or comparable data collection software
Qualifications
Enrolled in or graduated from a Business or related degree program
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
05 · Workforce Development
Workforce Development Internship

Work with the VP of Workforce Development & Government Relations to develop and implement a strategic workforce development plan. Ideal for students in Business or a related field with strong research and planning skills.

Learning Objectives
Understand and communicate the structure, goals, and strategic mission of the Chandler Chamber
Assist with comprehensive data collection and research compilation to support strategic planning
Conduct market research to influence workforce development initiatives
Communicate with Chamber members regarding business demographics and workforce statistics
Assist with the implementation of a workforce development platform
Organize and enter data into Excel or comparable data collection software
Qualifications
Enrolled in or graduated from a Business or related degree program
Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
