At the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, workforce development isn’t just a buzzword—it’s at the heart of everything we do. We connect businesses, educators, and community partners to strengthen Chandler’s talent pipeline, empower local employers, and prepare our city for a thriving economic future.

Through data-driven insights, strategic partnerships, and collaborative programs, we’re shaping a workforce that is ready, resilient, and equipped for the demands of tomorrow.

Our Mission

To align business needs with workforce readiness by bridging the gap between education, employment, and economic opportunity. We listen to our members, gather data through research like the 2025 Workforce Development Report, and use those insights to inform programs and policies that help Chandler businesses grow and succeed.

Chandler By The Numbers

  • 280,000+ residents and counting

  • 57% of residents have an associate’s degree or higher

  • Top industries: manufacturing (13%), health care (13%), retail trade (10%)

These numbers reflect a city that is educated, ambitious, and ready to work—and the Chamber’s workforce programs help ensure that momentum continues.

What We Do

1. Research & Insights

We lead workforce research, like the 2025 Workforce Development Report, to uncover employer needs and talent challenges across Chandler.
Our findings guide local decision-making on recruitment, education, and economic priorities.

  • 43% of employers cite underqualified applicants as their biggest challenge

  • 87% value soft skills like motivation, communication, and teamwork most highly

  • 59% are interested in expanding technical training and upskilling opportunities

2. Partnerships That Work

We connect businesses, educators, and government leaders to strengthen Chandler’s workforce ecosystem.
From K–12 initiatives to post-secondary collaborations and employer roundtables, we help close skill gaps and create real-world opportunities for students and workers.

3. Programs for Employers

Our Chamber supports local employers through:

  • Internship & apprenticeship partnerships

  • Leadership and management training access

  • Policy advocacy

  • Workforce Summits and Talent Roundtables that bring business and education leaders together

4. Early Workforce Exposure

We’re helping employers invest in the next generation. Nearly half of Chandler businesses offer internships, but challenges like liability and scheduling still limit opportunities for youth. The Chamber advocates for solutions that make early workforce engagement easier, safer, and more rewarding for businesses and students alike.
