Why are you running?

I initially ran for office because I did not feel that the voices of teachers were heard at the capitol. After serving for two years, I feel more strongly that the voices of teachers must be acknowledged when working on education policy as well as other policies. Public education touches so many aspects of our lives, and it is important to include the perspective of educators.

Top 3 issues you would like to focus on:

  1. P-20 Education
  2. Affordable Healthcare
  3. Jobs

How will your campaign embody the values of the Chandler Chamber?
When I first ran in 2016, I asked at my Chandler Chamber interview how I could learn more about the values of the Chamber. It was then that I learned about the Public Policy meetings. Since that time, I have attended many of those meetings to understand the perspective of the members of the Chamber and the business community. In 2018, I provided input on the draft of the education section of the How We Stand document. As an elected official, I have proactively reached out to Terri when issues will impact the business community of our city. I will continue to have strong communication with the Chamber.

How will the Chamber’s endorsement help you in the race?
I would be honored to be endorsed by the Chandler Chamber. It would help me with
business-minded constituents. I would show that we have mutual respect and that we work well together.

Why are you running?

I want Arizona to be the entrepreneur capital of the United States. I envision a state that has a well-educated workforce from our K12 and university system. It can also be a state with a low tax and low regulatory environment that can be the tech hub of this great country. I believe that I am in a unique position to help Arizona achieve these things.

Top 3 issues you would like to focus on:
1. Continue to come up with creative regulatory relief for the business community.
2. Continue to create an atmosphere that is welcoming to business and startups large and small.
3. Continue to increase the amount of funding going to Education.

How will your campaign embody the values of the Chandler Chamber?
I have always served with transparency and openness. I will continue to do what is best for my community as the Chamber does. I want to be partners and continue to work on these great things together.

How will the Chamber’s endorsement help you in the race?
The Chandler Chamber is one of the most respected organizations in the state of Arizona. It would be an honor to win their endorsement. I believe it would go a long way to signal the successes that we have achieved together.
