Public Policy

The Chandler Chamber of Commerce represents over 1,300 businesses with over 100,000 employees.  Through our advocacy efforts, the Chamber has ensured that the voice of business is heard and considered when important policy decisions are made.  The Chandler Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Group is open to all members and meets the second and fourth Friday of the month at the Chamber from 8 am to 9 am.  The Chandler Chamber is your representative on local, regional and state issues. We discuss issues that are important to the success of your business and the community.

-The Chamber holds quarterly Economic Update Luncheons to bring you up to date on government, business and city issues.

-Members can attend Coffee with the Mayor twice a year and meet with Chandler Mayor Tibshraeny to discuss topics of importance to our members.

-The How We Stand document is a tool to help foster, develop, and expand the Chandler Business Community. It communicates the voice of the East Valley on  Public Policy and legislation.  Click Here

The proposed recreational marijuana legalization ballot initiative is a controversial topic. Recently, the Chandler Chamber hosted representatives from both sides of the argument to present their information. If you were unable to attend or were seeking more information regarding the proposal before it is voted on in November, please see the links below. They contain informational handouts from the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry who oppose the initiative and documents from the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol, the group supporting the initiative. Additionally, there is a link to the full text of the initiative itself.
